» motivation I woke up this morning at 6:30am. I've been waking up between 5:45 and 6:30am for the last two weeks. You see, if I can get to the BART station before 6:30am I can take my bicycle on the train. I like getting into San Francisco at 7am and riding my bike along the waterfront. I found it very uplifting and motivating to sit and watch the sun come up over the Oakland hills while eating a banana. But today I woke up, without the alarm clock, at 6:30am, so the bicycle had to stay home. It didn't get me down though. For some reason, as I showered and shaved and all that, I was filled with this insane motivation to undertake a whole slew of projects, both for work and personal. I was so energized that I could hardly wait to get into the office to get started. So, here I am, and suddenly I'm feeling listless and hungry and slightly bored...and I've lost my motivation. Oh, hang on. I just remembered that I 'borrowed' a 19" monitor from work last night, which rmutt kindly drove back to the East Bay for me in his car. Oh, that's kinda fun! I replaced my 14" monitor, and watched a DVD of Blade Runner on my newish G4. It was really really BIG! OK, now I'm kinda excited and enerigized again. It's funny how some of us need to have a constant tide of change in order to be motivated, while others thrive on peace and quiet. OK, off to start those projects.
