» rainy season OK, I feel better now. I guess the problem in the last entry was a temporary situation caused by too much work and too many social events coming up. While I was in the theater watching a movie with some friends the rainy season got underway here in the Bay Area. We came out to find the city yellow-brown and dripping. When the rain starts here it's never a tentative rain. It's never a little shower to warn you that the winter has arrived and it _might_ start raining in earnest. It simply starts raining as if it had never stopped. I walked home from the train station in it. No umbrella. I wore my heavy jacket (the one G bought me for our first X-mas after the seperation), so I at least escaped being drenched in the 15 minutes it takes to walk. But the coat and my shoes are soaked and will be in the morning, when it will still be raining. I tried to think of something symbolic that the rain might represent as I trudged slowly through it, water dripping from my nose. But I couldn't think of anything. I guess it's just rain, and I'm just some guy who got wet.
